DR. LORNE CLEARSKY,

MD CCFP FRCPC DABAM

Medical Director

Dr. Lorne Clearsky specializes in Public Health and Preventive Medicine and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Addiction Medicine. He served as Chief Medical Officer of Health for the Northwest Territories and was born in the Waywayseecappo First Nation Manitoba.

DR. SAJIDA AFRIDI,

MBBS, MPH, MBA FRCPC, DABPM, DABAM, FASAM, DABOM

Dr Afridi has developed a comprehensive, hands-on approach through work in various settings, including Emergency Departments, inpatient care, detox programs, Rapid Access Addiction Medicine Clinics (RAAM), Community clinics, and telehealth services.

DR. PETER CHEN

Dr. Chen is a Clinical Instructor in UBC's Division of General Internal Medicine. He completed his medical training including his MD, Internal Medicine Residency, and General Internal Medicine fellowship at UBC. He has a special interest in perioperative medicine, and completed the Perioperative Vascular Medicine training program at McMaster University.



Dr. Chen spends his clinical time on the inpatient Clinical Teaching Units at St. Paul's Hospital, as well as the Perioperative Medicine consult service at both St. Paul's Hospital and Vancouver General Hospital. He also participates in outpatient clinics at the SPH Internal Medicine Vascular Clinic focusing on optimization of risk factors in patients with vascular disease.

TRACEY DAY,

FAMILY NP

Tracey Day is a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in British Columbia, Canada, who specializes in mental health and addiction care. She has worked extensively in addiction medicine, particularly in collaboration with the BC Centre on Substance Use (BCCSU), which is a leader in the province's efforts to improve addiction treatment and harm reduction services.

CHRISTINE FISCHER,

RN

Christine’s interest in continued learning and passion for mental health, addiction medicine, and recovery make her a good choice for the role of Register Nurse at the VPAC clinic. She is also a Clinical Nursing Instructor who assists with BC Children's Hospital systems development.

TING LUU,

RPH

Ting brings years of experience managing pharmacies that specialize in mental health & addiction. Ting consults directly with the VPAC interdisciplinary team to best support the medication needs of our patients.

MIKE WILCOX,

BSC, BA

Mike is instrumental in the day-to-day operations of the VPAC clinic. Mike is a double graduate from the University of Victoria (BSc Major in Psych and Math, BA in Philosophy, minor in applied ethics).

JARED WIGLE

Jared coordinates scheduling for clients with additional reporting requirements, such as Union or Treatment Centre patients.

ISABELLE GRONDIN

Isabelle brings her extensive education and pharmacy experience to the VPAC clinic. She is the backbone of the VPAC office operations, providing essential administrative support that ensures patients receive the best possible care.

Brittany Brugger

Brittany is a Medical Office Assistant with extensive education in Social Work and a passion for helping others. She is dedicated to providing exceptional compassionate client care and administrative support.
